OKC3S, Current Issue Marine Bayonet.

The current Marine issue bayonet is quite a sight. Unfortunately all we use it for is for primarily opening MRE's, opening sandbags, and other tasks besides its intended use as a weapon. But if you being: another Marine looking to purchase one for home or you lost one (just sign the missing gear statement), other service member, collector, or anyone else in general, I suggest to bid on them with caution. If you go next to any Marine installation and look for the resale or used gear, you'll find the OKC3S for around $80.00 used. Most likely the used ones on okay are not necessarily stolen. They are easy to fall off if just secured to the utility uniform belt, so they were probablypicked up. And the rusty onesfeatured are the ones that have beenfit for DRMO (Defense Reutilization and Marketing Service). In otherwords, de-mil'ed.The new ones featured here I wouldn't say are stolen, just purchased from a wholesale dealer on the internet starting at $104.00. I've seen individuals purchase them for the outrageous price of $150.00 to have one. If you pay over $110.00 on okay, you haven't done your homework with searching the regular internet. Around $90.00 new I have seen it for on the internet. And the cost to the Marine Corps to purchase one of these? $41.20. Just wantedto inform buyers and bidders to not be naive and purchase it at such a high price. Also, once one purchases the OKC3S-oil it! I suggest getting a small 4 oz. bottle of Break Free CLP and putting a small amount on your finger tip several times tolightly coat the blade every three to four months. It will rust like any other blade if you don't take care of it. Don't let a nice knife go to waste.-Semper Fi
