PAYPAL FOR BUYERS

PAYPAL FOR BUYERS

Paypal is free for buyers to use. And it is against the law for a seller to ask you to pay any fees that the seller incurs for using paypal for your transaction. If a seller asks you either in the auction or description or in an email after the auction is over or in the invoice for an extra fee for paypal, you may report them to okay.

Paypal is easy for buyers to use. Much more convenient that other payment methods. On some auctions it is in the only form of payment taken by the seller.

Paypal is less hassle if you need to get a refund: If the seller has refused to send the item after you have paid you can do a chargeback if you used your credit card through paypal to make the purchase. This is added protection for you. While you can always file mail fraud charges against the seller it is still no guarantee that you will get your money back. But if you have paid through paypal with a credit card, and the seller cannot prove they mailed the item to you, you will get a refund through paypal. Exception: If the seller has no funds in the account and no funds in their bank account you will still be out of luck.
The more likely scenario is that you will get your money back.
